16/05/2018 @ 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

“Skills to pay the bills- find your perfect career!”
Evidence of research indicates to an employer that you are motivated and keen to work for them. The quality of your research skills can have a huge impact on your job searches, application forms, and subsequent interviews as well as enabling you to make more informed choices about the types of companies that you wish to work for.
This workshop is designed for those students who are in the process of applying for graduate jobs or placements, but all students expressing an interest in developing their research skills for job success are welcome.
The session will explore how to hone your research skills in order to write compelling applications to employers, so please bring to the session a copy of a job or company that you are interested in applying for.
Workshop facilitators:
Kerri Daymond: Information Specialist (Library and Digital Support)
Francesca Ivaldi: Careers Consultant (Careers and Employability Service)
Attending this session will count towards the Plymouth Award (1 hour in the Working Life category).
